    You might be locked out after 3-4 unsuccess's, but reboot will reset that counter and You can keep trying. I meant when you have display and mouse connected directly to your NVR.

    NVR4208-8P-I is a relatively new model. Your local Dahua representer (I know there are several in Belgium) should be able to help you with no time. Have you tried login with pattern from console. Usually patterns are easy to discover and from there is very easy to reset the whole thing.

    Hi @kukita Firmware 2.616.0000 indicates that it is indeed a very, very old NVR, Should not be used in network while full on security holes. Anyhow, I think your problem might be this little thing that This NVR supports only old h264 video codec, and Your cameras are most likely set as h265...

    This is not the firmware issue, you have totally too high bitrate combined to all cameras. Try to lower bitrates about 5% and you will see how your problem solves.

    @Rascal First, what version of firmware are you running in that NVR? Second, usual SmartPSS will do just fine mostly, sometimes you have to choose right version number.

    First: yes you can roll back, i did it today with one nvr that had compatibility issue with one very old Dahua PTZ camera. Other issues might be solved if you do "factory default" reset to this unit and set it up again.

    I have hundreds of those NVR5xxx-4KS2's in maintenance with different version numbers, and i have barely never bricked anything. I have some, but this was not because firmware. Latest FW is anyway with date 211231, runs on every version so far just fine. @mally You need full upgrade folder...
