    Blue Iris UI3

OK I didnt know. Unless I misunderstand... when you are viewing 1-camera (full), there is no way to quickly change to a different camera? Example: I'm watching the Kitchen and in 1-click, want to switch to Entry full.

    Blue Iris UI3

Awesome work! btw, fine on the latest FF Two Small feature requests... 1. for those of us without PTZ cameras, can you have a 'UI Settings' option to remove the PTZ menu from the left menu, completely? 2. can you have an section (on left menu - or row on top or bottom of screen) that lists...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

It doesnt show that... shows http://192.168.2.60:81/image/MasterBedroom? Not sure how my BI config is messed up when all other apps, and even web UIs are working exactly as expected? Same problem using Private Window in latest Firefox - and in MSFT Edge

It doesnt show that... shows http://192.168.2.60:81/image/MasterBedroom? Not sure how my BI config is messed up when all other apps, and even web UIs are working exactly as expected? And, when I select 'Full Camera List' from your UI, it shows all the cams, properly

No, they are not cycling. Not ure what I'm checking for... 'All Cameras' shows all 10 cameras in BI. And again, the individual camera names are not showing in UI2, at all. If I use the regular web UI, all the cameras show in the list and display perfectly fine. also work perfectly fine in Blue...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

When I open to the default URL (ui2.htm) the 'Current Camera' drop down only shows "All Cameras" and on screen is only 1 (the same one each time) of my 10 cams ... no option to see any other cams? Alerts and Clips properly show ALL 10 cameras in the drop down. This started happening in 18.1...

Anyway to Setup Universal Alerts / Notifications?

Please let me know if this is possible - and how ya'll do it :) THX! I know we caan setup multiple Alerts, for multiple things but hoping there would be an easier (better) way to do ALL cams via a template, or some universal setting. GoaI : BI sends multiple parameters to a 3rd part system...

Standalone Java app for dedicated live view with Instant Replay

It's not going to work with remote desktop. You'd need a remote app (like citrix) that supports opengl Sent from my SM-G935U using Tapatalk

    BlueIris Server Hardware

I did make an error on the benchmark of the i5-6500, it's over 7k and my laptop is 3737. But my laptop runs BI and 10x 1080p cams with full frame motion detection perfectly fine at an average of 30 to 40 percent cpu. I have zero (none, Nada one) issue running BI on that cpu. My issue was with...

    BlueIris Server Hardware

I love how you throw out numbers with zero data backing up your claims. By Dells own measurements... The lowest powered sff optiplex ranges from 13w (newest intels) to 37w (several gen back) ... And 55w to 78w under 75% load. Thier own conclusion is the Best Case is a 63% power savings. ...

    BlueIris Server Hardware

Ignore Fendermans rants. While he has good knowledge of BI software, he just likes to argue. By his own statement... If your server ran at 300w 24hrs a day, the yearly kWh is 2656. At 11 cents per kWh (most people pay 9 cents)... The electricity cost is 295/yr. Of course, he assumes what...

    BlueIris Server Hardware

You existing x5675 servers are More than enough to run what you want, and at 1080p. You'll probably see 30-40% cpu utilization even with full frame motion detection on. Your benchmark is over 8k. In running a win7 laptop with 4k benchmark, without being assisted by the gfx card, and my cpu...

    Blue Iris on laptop?

I did not say laptops were cheaper than desktop... I said if you buy a laptop, off lease are best bang for the buck. And, my BI setup runs perfectly fine on my lower powered laptop. And my laptop is actually more powerful than my 9x 1080p cams need... My problem is with kodi, not BI. Your...

    Blue Iris on laptop?

... Most of this post is false. I purchase off lease business quality laptops very cheaply and they are the best bang for the buck by far. And they do everything this person says they can't... Except they don't hold full size hdd s... No problem for most installs

Is BI a yearly support susbcription now?

I read the other thread - at least most of it. Whether something is 'normal' or not is irrelevant... I'd like to know what my exact cost will be the case before I make the purchase as I suspect v5 will be out next year. Still not clear if bug fix and minor releases will require a yearly fee...

Standalone Java app for dedicated live view with Instant Replay

Nice App... like this much better than the browser based version. A few questions... a) any plans to put in 'Clips' section. That is really useful when watching the kids :) b) any plans to have a 'favorite layout' buttons so we could quickly switch Camera Layouts? This is useful for...

New BI setup - 9 cams; 50% CPU load w/ DTD or Encode on i5

I moved all my cams to 15fps and CPU has dropped to 25% BUT I still see MASSIVE lag and hangs with Kodi. I run an SSD in that computer. I'd be surprised if the hangs/lag I see in Kodi are related to a hard drive bottleneck... this is more indicative of a memory and cpu priority issue. E.g. BI...

New BI setup - 9 cams; 50% CPU load w/ DTD or Encode on i5

I lowered the frame rate in BI to 15fps on all 9 cams...CPU utilization floats between 25-32% now AND using ~1.4GB RAM. Maybe the RAM is the issue, not the CPU? Pretty sure there is a problem with the BI process, here's why: - I run BI as a service... watching the process in Task Manager, shows...

New BI setup - 9 cams; 50% CPU load w/ DTD or Encode on i5

bp2008 I'll try setting the in-camera frame rate lower and see if that helps - good suggestion, thank you The core of the problem is it seems BI is not timeslicing well... not playing nice with other apps. Even at 50% CPU, when it is recording or not... Kodi is unusable. This seems to point to...

New BI setup - 9 cams; 50% CPU load w/ DTD or Encode on i5

Yeah, I could buy a dedicated i5 for it, and I might. It would be really nice if he coded the processing to use GPU (Intel's Media SDK) instead of CPU... that would quickly fix the high CPU utilization without the need to change his methods of analysis. I don't care about the 'look of the app'...

New BI setup - 9 cams; 50% CPU load w/ DTD or Encode on i5

Interesting that you say the i5-4300U is weak for BI yet my Synology with an Intel Atom D2700 and only 1 GB RAM is literally 1/5th the benchmark spec (but in reality the laptop is about 10x the speed) yet can easily handle all the cameras at 30fps. while it runs a dozen other apps. BI looks like...

New BI setup - 9 cams; 50% CPU load w/ DTD or Encode on i5
