    Download Files from SD card.

Since Edge works fine for you without a plugin, then your camera apparently works with or without a plugin, dependent on what browser you use. I've seen that mentioned for other recent Amcrest firmware. See the first paragraph in the attached screenshot from the IP8M-T2669-AI User Manual, not...

Amcrest NV5232-16p over decoding ability - only 4 4k cameras. Others are 5mp. (9 total)

Have you checked to see what resolution the cameras are recording at? It may just be lowering resolution for live view only by using substream there. Decoding is needed for live view and playback but not for recording. Your NVR Decoding capability is 4-ch@8MP(30fps), 16-ch@1080P(30fps). See

In your screenshot, go to middle right of screen and click the < character in a box. At the top of the resulting file list, click first icon to seleclt all files. Click second icon to download all selected files. Added: The backup sd card link you mentioned is for the old version 1 Smartpss.

Smalest PTZ with Starlight for watching breeding kestrels

@42er, RE: Last post by @holiday If not using BI, you could possibly change between your day and night presets at the same location by using your Dahua PTZ camera Web UI to set up PTZ> Function> Time Task.

    Amcrest ASH22 - Web Interface?

If you have to use wifi between ASH22 and network router, and don't want to use the app, then you could try using ASH22 ethernet attached to a wifi bridge connected via wifi to your wifi router.

Amcrest camera video with embedded timecode?

Perhaps you could try this: Record Regular records along with Motion Detect records using an Amcrest NVR or the PC-NVR feature of Amcrest Surveillance Pro. Then you could export a clip from each camera's recordings with the same start/stop times to get Davinci input mp4 files.

Change Time on a Dahua camera behind NVR (P2P)

Since your remote camera is a LAN attached Dahua, add it to SmartPSS using camera Serial Number(P2P). Then access it in SmartPSS with Device CFG/System/General/Time Setup.

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

That camera is supposed to have a heater and a -40F spec. I wonder if an exposed power cable wthout outdoor insulation could affect power also.

PTZ Timed Task - Help Please ?

The AutoHome setting in Time Task can be set to 5-3600 seconds. AutoHome refers to the time needed to automatically recover the time task in case of manually calling the PTZ to stop the time task. If you want a manual PTZ move to stay where it's moved to for more than 3600 seconds, then...

Amcrest app not working with P2P remotely

P2P is typically vendor specific. The Amcrest P2P server will only work with Amcrest software and Amcrest devices. But Amcrest and Honeywell are Dahua OEM companies, so perhaps in some cases, some different vendors P2P software and devices will work together. Instead of P2P, you could try a...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Terri, If you decide to replace your 12v power supply, it will require climbing a ladder to camera and threading through wall to attic again. Or DIY cutting and splicing the 12v cable to camera. Another method not requiring that is to use POE over the installed looney recommended cable you...

Find an IP camera with rtmp to directly stream to youtube. Many late model Dahua cameras support rtmp. Google "youtube rtmp IP camera". First two videos there show how Dahua rtmp cameras are set up for youtube.

How to cast via HTTPS over LAN only?

It may not be what you are looking for, but I find it easy and effective to just cast(mirror) my android screen via Chromecast to my HDMI 60" TV. Google Home app can be used to connect to Chromecast. Edit: Fixed mirror typo.

    Smooth PTZ moves

My Amcrest IP2M-858 (Dahua OEM ) is a bigger PTZ, and seems to have smooth Tour and Preset similar to what you described. If you have Pattern or Timed Task function in your camera, perhaps they might help. You could also try SmartPSS Tour & Task to see if it helps smoothness.

    Amcrest IP4M-1053E

Your camera probably has 2018 firmware and initially loads a plug-in for Web UI, which is fine. Use Internet Explorer browser for Web UI. To load Internet Explorer, put Internet Explorer in Windows search box. To try to correct 4m image artifacts, increase the camera bitrate to 8192 using the...

Any Inexpensive USB based security cameras (similar to webcam) that are noteworthy?

If you have wifi in the room, I suggest you try this $35 camera. Just put a microSD card in it for storage and use your phone. One camera may be enough. It has great features and has worked well for me for eight months. Best not to ever connect ethernet cable to it if you intend to use wifi...

    Simple Wi-Fi Controlled Camera

Here's what I would try: Get an Amcrest IP2M-841 that's a good $35-40 IP camera. It needs 5v dc power and protection from rain. It has remote pan/tilt. Set up the camera with Web UI so that snapshot is stored on SD card on motion detection. When snapshots and/or recording is desired...
