Accidentially ripped off ethernet contact - how to fix?

Seems like the threads above have cables not similar to mine, see attached. I actually have standard colors on my broken cable, although two colors are missing. Should I try just standard numbering of the colors?

Accidentially ripped off ethernet contact - how to fix?

I accidentially ripped off the female ethernet contact of my Dahua cam. Fell from a ladder when mounting it and camera hit the ground. I now have to put on a new ethernet contact myself. What is the easiest way to do that? Put a mail connector and us a female-female for extension? In what order...

Difference between cameras compared to other stores

hi! I'm trying to understand the difference between cameras when buying from empiretech and a seller in Sweden where the camera is marked hikvision. I'm looking at IPC-T2347G-LU ColorVu which it is 80% more expensive in sweden, when including shipping and fees (aliexpress). Thanks in...

How to avoid alarms when foggy or snowing outside?

Ok, thanks for replying. I have a few lights on my house but my current HiLook is not providing good images with no ir during night. I know it is low end... I dont have easy access to power for an ir illuminator, it was troublesome to get the poe there. Im guessing my best chance would be a...

How to avoid alarms when foggy or snowing outside?

As planned right now, all my cameras will have cover, mainly from the house roof. But the issue with fog, would this be solved by a more advanced camera say with colorvu technology? I cannot afford to go all the way to darkfighter. Im trying to understand if this is a camera or software...

How to avoid alarms when foggy or snowing outside?

So this night was foggy again and generated tons of notifications. I'm using Milestones motion detection, maybe it is better to use hikvisions own and generate event from camera? If this is an issue with placement of ir leds and would be solved with a more expensive camera, what would you...

How to avoid alarms when foggy or snowing outside?

Hi, A bit new to IP cams, but i managed to install my first one outdoors and Im running Milestone on a separate PC. It's been working well since I put it up until last night. It was very foggy and the IR glare from the water drops gave me a ton of notifications. When I woke up I had 315 new...

    Help on netwok topology

Hi Again, thanks for your comments. So this is my issue, the cameras' poe switches will be at two different places that I cannot connect through cable. Best would be to have the nvr in the house as it then will be connected to 4 out of 6 cameras directly. But the only place I can have a...

    Help on netwok topology

Thanks for sharing! Yes, garage and house is on the same main circuit. Garage has its own fuse though. What capacity do you think is needed from the powerline connectors? If the powerline adapters works well, i guess that i would create lan 1 with cameras and nvr och tie it together with a...

Hi, Thanks, I really appreciate all help. I totally agree on on planning part, and that's where I am right now :) If I look to the logical interconnectivity, what I want is Lan 1: all cameras and nvr Lan 2: For regular use of laptop, ipad, etc around the house. Connected to internet with...

Hi About to install 2 cameras on a garage and 4 on the house. House and garage are detached and no easy way to connect with ethernet cable. Im planning to have my nvr server in the garage. The poe switch for the house is planned to be located on second floor with easy access to attic where...
