    I recently noticed that my 5MP ip camera is running on only 4 wires. I wonder how does the camera is receiving power through data channels. Any one know what is this because I remember that poe is designed to use all 4 pairs.

    Your NVR company ? Today only I read somewhere that pulling video feeds directly from primary NVR can be achieved for all cameras by editing the channel number in ADD section of secondary NVR . by default it's set to channel 1 that's why you are only seeing single stream.

    What is the meaning of decoding capabilities.

    I'm planning to buy 16ch hikvision DS-7616NI-K2 NVR but got confused by this " Up to 2-ch@8 MP or 4-ch@4 MP or 8-ch@1080p decoding capacity ". It have 160 Mbps incoming bandwidth. Can it record 16 (Sixteen) IP cameras @ 4 M.P each in full resolution to HDD @ H.265 HEVC compression.
