IVS and Autotracking on Dahua SD59225U-HNI PTZ
Setup SmartPlan first. If you are having problems with that then post. Here is a shot of a working setup for me. You can set different plans for different presets -

I would uncheck PTZ if you are just trying to autotrack. Also using: PTZ>Function>Inteligence>Autotrack works but isn't nearly as reliable as using a smartplan with IVS in my experience. By reliable I mean false alarms. If you are going to use it for that driveway shot. I would use IVS... -
Dahua HTTP API
That was my problem as well. I ended up having to go through my BlueIris server. I know that's not an option for everyone....but I'd still like to be able to do it on the camera. -
Trigger PTZ preset through BI web interface
I did try...that thread confused me because I was trying to do this from OUTSIDE of BI from my smartthings hub. However...that helps tremendously...as I finally found in there: http://{BI ip address}:{port}/cam/{cam_short_name}/preset=2 works exactly like I wanted. THANK YOU!!!!!- jrf

Trigger PTZ preset through BI web interface
From what I can tell in the original documentation I can only see a way to trigger PTZ up/down/left/right and not a way to trigger the camera to go directly to a preset. Is this possible and does anyone know what the URL would be? Trying to trigger from my smarthome to move a ptz to a preset...- jrf

Made these a bit ago. Bit of PITA for my first time trying to figure out how to do 3 days worth of a timelapse. The software I used didn't do the video any favors...but...it did work in the end. Both of these 5231r-z Yes...this would have been that blizzard that was all over the news in...- jrf

Quick question. Was setting this up with no issues until I got to my IPC-HDW4231EM-ASE. Everytime I click "Get Current Zoom/Focus" nothing happens. Checked, double, triple checked IP/port login info. However this camera has NO zoom....so I'm wondering... is that the problem? -
BI Time lapse export
That works (well checking that box does) when exporting 1 clip. Actually, I can check that box when exporting 1 clip...but it doesn't actually timelapse. It just exported the clip at the regular rate. However when you select multiple clips at once to export, there is no way to check that box...- jrf

I live in the great northwest where we recently got hit with over 50" of snow in a few days. I'd like to make a time lapse out of this and noticed when I was trying to export (that's not working either) that there seems to be a time lapse export feature. However I can't seem to find what makes...- jrf

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.
I'm going to try this. So far the only real complaint of this camera. The IR just seems off. Even the close IR seems to shoot too low. Then when I get up in zoom range the zoom IR just turns completely off (as others have mentioned). I'll keep playing :-) -

So far autotrack during the day seems to do a pretty darn good job. At night I haven't seen the same kind of luck. And the IR is very odd and has the same issues I've see others report. The focused IR turns off once I get above about 20x. I'm using Smart IR right now. Maybe I just don't... -

I got the camera last week and haven't had a lot of time with but enough that so far I'm very happy. The last thing I want to do is build a small roof over it as it currently hangs out in the open and I think that keeping the rain off of it and away from the IR will help during the snow/rain... -

There is a switch a posted a few posts back the "Intellinet" it can do BOTH as in be powered off the uplink port FROM a Poe switch and also provided POE power. More confused now. Wouldn't the pigtail be more protected inside the house vs in the mount? Or am I just missing the fact you didn't want to drill that large of a hole in the side of the house to fit the connector?- jrf

Mobile App (Android) Stopped Working
same problem. I have to manually force close the BI android app all the time just to get a feed. Just assumed the app was that bad and not that it was related to my specific device. (Pixel 2 XL and previous Pixel XL) -

Trash Guy weirdness
That was pretty much my thought...thanks...but no thanks. I have no idea who the couple is either so they aren't residents at least nearby. Yes and no. CAM2 was supposed to be dedicated for that trash/ups drop off area. That's where my packages get dropped all the time. I have another shot...- jrf
