Reset and Start Over with BlueIris

I'll let you all know how it goes. I'm guessing that when I initially set it up, maybe 2015ish, that I set it up how I thought was best and things have changed but I hadn't changed with it. I'm going to try to glean most of the best practices and go from there. I probably need to reconfigure my...

Reset and Start Over with BlueIris

Thanks. I appreciate the reply. I figured the reboot wasn't necessary, but it doesn't hurt and helps me believe that at least something isn’t stuck. We’ll see how it goes. Most likely i’ll wait until the morning.

Reset and Start Over with BlueIris

Hi folks, I've had an installation for many years. Things haven't been working well for a while and what I'd really like to do is delete BlueIris, reinstall, and start over. Is there a guide that I'm missing on the best way to do that? If so, can you point me to that? My first inclination...

Blue Iris on Intel i3-560 Dell R310?

Yeah? Good computer for running BI? My old BI machine just died and I was looking to get something decent enough to run about 8 cameras. You'd recommend? Thanks...

BlueIris UI3 - Running out of memory over time in browser

Perhaps.. Makes sense. However, it's only in the newer version. Went back to 5.5.4.5, it's been running for 7 hours now and only at 200mb.. Big difference from the 28gb after a couple of hours.

BlueIris UI3 - Running out of memory over time in browser

@wittaj , definitely looks like a bug in the newer version. I just downgraded to 5.5.4.5 and after 2 hours I'm still at 135mb

BlueIris UI3 - Running out of memory over time in browser

I'm on my Mac. Doubt that was it. Nothing has changed. I'm on 5.5.6.6 I was wrong about the numbers. I'm currently at 28gb on the browser right now.

BlueIris UI3 - Running out of memory over time in browser

Hi there, sorry for the long title here. I'm not sure if this is new with a newer version or maybe something changed. After several hours it seems that if I keep UI3 running in the browser, which I normally do during the day so I can keep an eye on it, that it'll eventually get up to 8 or 9gb or...

    Dahua Camera choice

I just realized that I have an HDW-5831RP-ZE and an HDW-5231RP-ZE in the box (I bought them before I decided to move). Where do they fit in the above list of cameras or should I be looking for something newer?

    Dahua Camera choice

Wow. Such a timely thread for me. Thank You. I see the 5442 in dome and turret, I think. Other than the form factor, is there really a difference between them or just preference. I’ve always used domes before as they look less conspicuous than turrets. If there is a performance reason for one...

Resetting BI back to factory install

I'm 100% sure I'm just missing the instructions for this. I've had BI running for several years at my previous house that I kept upgrading. There are some old settings, some old cameras, and configurations that are no longer in use. What I really want to do is just take BI back to a fresh...

Basic starting point for settings on new SD49425XB

I completely understand this is a very Noobish question. I've had my previous Dahua cameras set up for many years at my previous house. So much so that it just ran and I never had to check a thing. Which was great. I moved into a new place and I purchased a SD49425XB from Andy. Fantastic...

Dahua Mac Address different than what is on the sticker

Thanks.. I searched but didn't find anything. Coming from the Enterprise networking world I could never imagine this happening but I understand this is a little different. It's a sticker, I get it, but I guess my curiosity wants to know why..

Dahua Mac Address different than what is on the sticker

Can someone tell me what I'm missing here? Usually I grab a camera, put the MAC address in my DHCP reservations and assign an IP that way. I'm not a huge fan of hardcoded IP's. Today I had a little bit of a hiccup. I used the sticker on the outside of the camera and grabbed the IP address but...

Authentication "Non-LAN Only" - Does this work?

Ahhh. That’s it. It’s because anonymous is disabled. So if I understand this correctly. The user comes in via the anonymous user ONLY on LAN connections. All other connections will require a valid user. As for the VPN use case. That makes sense as your VPN essentially makes it so a user is...

Authentication "Non-LAN Only" - Does this work?

Or should I say, does this work as expected? My expectation is that this would only require logins from connections outside of my local LAN. In this case 192.168.1.* However, in my case whether it's the same machine that BI is on or another machine on my local network, I cannot connect unless...
