    Ezviz camera help requested

Wait, you have this camera- and it has a web interface? Then I want your firmware! :) I've got nothing :(* and it's really frustrating. I have two that haven't been attached to the NVR yet, maybe it does something nasty to them...

EZViz NVR setup without a monitor

@Pathogen do you mean the ezvisstudio app? If I click on the camera, I get a 'hasn't been added'- I can't even get to a point to add a password. They're not so much as secure, as they're just preventing anything from being done. I'm sure once I figure out what type of camera and firmware it'll...

Hikvision G1 5.5+ firmware Exploring the Cam & attempting unlock

Do you have any photos of the internals for this cam? You're doing great work- I'd like to catch up (I have a vested interest with some ezviz cams that also run ambarella).

EZViz NVR setup without a monitor

@VorlonFrog I believe i owe you an apology- or at least an update. Your statement is true- I couldn't do it though. Blue Iris CAN see the cameras IF you know the password. However that's not available. Using the trojan horse R0 camera trick, I got it in. Unfortunately I didn't realize there was...

    Ezviz camera help requested

I found the password for the camera; I can now add it to the Blue Iris to view. However there is no webserver running, so no configuration. I'm going to put a switch in between the two and mirror the port to see what traffic is going on. That said, there is a serial port, but I don't have a 4...

Did you ever figure out what password to use in IVMS4200 to get into the NVR? I can not, nor can I add the cameras to a POE hub and have them work.

    EZVision Cameras? Cross flashing?

@alastairstevenson , where would you recommend I start for this camera? Should I fire up a new thread? I've got the thing gutted on the table. Interestingly it has a reset switch inside, and a CF solder tab but not attached. Appears to have a dedicated connector for Serial, too (not just pads)...

G0 baremetal app for a limited u-boot ver

This is a fascinating thread. I'm trying to get up to where ya'll have gotten from- steep learning curve recovering from openwrt firmware hacking years ago... Specifically I'm trying to get into this set ezviz 8-Channel 4K UHD NVR with 2TB HDD & 4 4K Outdoor Night Vision Bullet Cameras All I...

Yet another bricked camera... This one gets "writing /dav_sec failed"

How did this turn out @alastairstevenson ? "do not do it above firmware 5.2.5 unless you want to spring a particularly nasty Hikvision trap." - and ... what's this trap you were talking about Alastair? :) Ya know, as I browse these forums more I'm simply amazed at the breadth of your knowledge...

For what it's worth I'm at the start of your journey, too. I'll let you know when and if I get peeved enought to rip these apart and yank the firmware chip off the board for dumping. It appears you have older firmware than me- rejoice! V5.5.3build180122 V7.3 build 180122 CS-CV110-A1-...

    R0 / DS-2CD2x32 BrickfixV2 brick recovery and full upgrade tool - enhanced.

Edit: Trojan camera works to get the cameras password but still can't add them to ivms4200 The NVR that came with the 4 camera set. I can't get into the NVR except from the IVMS, and IVMS won't play any of the attached cameras. It's slower than snot. And I can't add the cameras to my regular...

    R0 / DS-2CD2x32 BrickfixV2 brick recovery and full upgrade tool - enhanced.

I was going to be lazy and put some pogo-pins together. Turns out (if I may suggest) that adding a switch/hub in-between the computer and the camera- and also running ping -t with the IP of the camera, did the trick. Until that point I never got to see any traffic of it attempting to boot/tftp...

    R0 / DS-2CD2x32 BrickfixV2 brick recovery and full upgrade tool - enhanced.

Alastair- First, thank you for the great tutorial. I've been bumming around firmware for years, and this is very concise and well laid out. Unfortunately I think my experience has come back to bite me. I couldn't get the camera to reset- although I was able to log into it and force a factory...

EZViz NVR setup without a monitor

Mate, if Blue Iris could find these cameras, which it hasn't as of yet, I'd be all over it. I'll give it another go- but SADP won't show the cameras either. (and I am grateful for the feedback- just frustrated) Actually, SADP showed me the version short, and MAC, but that was it. CS-CV110-A1

EZViz NVR setup without a monitor

Edit: Well, you can't set this thing up without a monitor. Once I did, and entered the password I set with SADP, I suddenly could get a video feed from the local LAN. However it only works in EZViz, not ivm 4200, and the password used for the NVR isn't accepted from the ivms4200 software. It...

    Ezviz/Hikvision NVR switchports shutting down

Ironic. It's not been my year. I had been running SADP- BUT it hadn't been finding anything. Version 3.0.0.0 - upgraded to .17 which is what you linked to. I'd been hesitant as I didn't want to lose the 'unofficial' finding cameras, not just hikvision branded ones. It still didn't show...

    IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 LPR from 137 feet

Is there a 'generic' /unbranded version of this miracle camera that takes a cross flash? We got egged (actually, they did about 100 cars- the idiots went to the local grocer and bought a case of eggs...), and I couldn't extract the LP from one of my regular cams due to a microSD malfunction...

Thanks for the post. I was looking (After getting egged and a few other incidents) of buying two 8mp cams and installing them via weatherproof housings. Question on LPR camera distance

Optical Cast Infrared Longpass Filters | Edmund Optics I've used this with success in camera modifications (SLR) to only photograph IR. Back before this was a 'thing' that you could order, this material was the easiest for DIY's to cut down and it didn't impact image quality (much). Designed...

    Question on LPR camera distance

I got anywhere from 6" to 12" deep. My soil is compacted clay, too, so it was a PITA as you can imagine. Like I said the needle.... and then made the fan vertical (5 degree) to help eject material from the hole/slot. The top of the hole was about as wide as my pinkie, the bottom got bigger...

    Question on LPR camera distance

I realize I'm late to the game here, but I found trenching very easy with a pressure washer and the needle sprayer. Wish I'd put the nozzle on wheels to keep the angle consistent, but that thing knifed a thin slit through the ground like butter. I went back with a shovel where roots were. I...
