[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I assume that you've already rebooted after installing Visual C++ I've been doing extensive testing the last several days on what DeepStack requires and all that I've found is Visual C++, AVX support as well as desktop experience (if installed on a server). It seems odd that you had to run AI...

Did you install Visual C++ 2010 and 2015? Also, does your processor support AVX? If not DeepStack won't work on Windows.

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I posted the solution in post #338 to get it working under Windows; it is a Visual C++ perquisite that causes Deepstack to not respond to AI Tool. This isn’t mentioned anywhere in Deepstack’s documentation; I discovered this through testing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Just wanted to share an update here. I was able to get DeepStack running on Windows. I initially tried on Windows 10 with no luck. I also tried Windows 8.1 with no luck. I was able to get it running on a fresh VM running Server 2012 R2. I had to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable...

Are you getting the certificate warning when trying to access the DeepStack srver on your local machine or when trying to access DeepStack AI Server ? If from your local IP, then you can ignore the certificate warning as this is due to DeepStack using a self-signed SSL certificate.

Not that I am aware of unfortunately. This problem has been plaguing a lot of users here. I will let you know if I am able to find a way to test.

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I have been primarily running on Windows, but I did some testing about two weeks ago on Docker on Ubuntu and had no problems. I was running the latest version of DeepStack and Docker at that time. Dumb question, but are you able to browse to the IP address and port using a browser to DeepStack?

I’ve had this issue with running Deepstack on Windows; I believe that there was a bad update. I’ve had no trouble running it in Docker on Ubuntu though. Not sure which you’re running, but I can put a link to the version that has been working for me (on Windows) later today (I’m not by a computer...

    Integration with Amazon Rekognition

Can you share your config here? When you stream a sub stream to AWS, are you having AWS screen for human activity via rekognition? Also, how many cameras are you currently streaming? I have 12 cameras and I would assume that this would take a lot of upload bandwidth. Also, how are you receiving...

What is your experience with Sentry?

Sentry still struggles with false alerts at night when the camera is in IR mode. I get several each night with Sentry on the few cameras that I run in night mode, but not with cameras that are forced color at night. It takes about 5 to 6 seconds round trip to receive alerts from Sentry for...

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

I reached out to support regarding the new features and they confirmed that these new features will be integrated into blue iris, so it looks like they will keep everything in the cloud. They also told me that they will be releasing the new features to beta users in the next few weeks before the...

(SOLVED) Blue iris running on single E5-2630 v3 Ideas

I agree with others that there is likely a configuration issue in BI that is running on the i3, but I have a HP Z420 with a Xeon E5-2960 V2 with 64 GB RAM that I run 15 cameras one as well as 2 VM's running in VMware Workstation for pfSense and Home Assistant. In addition to this, I am also...

What is your experience with Sentry?

Push notifications have been working for some time. You will still see alerts that Sentry cancelled with no human activity in the alerts view, but will only receive push notifications for human activity. They’ve recently added a nice feature that flags alerts triggered by Sentry so that you can...

Sentry Server Error 400 with newest BI 5.1.0.3

I agree and have also been testing Deepstack and AI Tool primarily because I can select the detection object to trigger on, I.e. people, dogs, etc. I also like that I can see what images caused false alerts, etc. as well as the ability to create a mask so that problematic areas don’t cause a...

Next-door child 10 seconds from getting run over by other neighbor

I started out with 1 camera back in 2017 (which was an inside camera pointed out a window). Fast forward to now and I am up to 15 cameras, including 2 inside of my house and 1 in each detached garage. The rest are outside covering me house/garages. I just recently added 2 more cameras for...

Only one of two cameras seem to work with Sentry

That may work depending on if you’re running an older version of BI. I had to disable and enable Sentry on each profile several versions ago, but not in newer versions. Let me know if that works for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Only one of two cameras seem to work with Sentry

Go into each camera under the trigger- artificial intelligence and uncheck and re-check the box for Sentry. This has happened to me in the past, especially when going from trial to paid.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

Thanks for this. This is what I was concerned about since it is a dome camera-that rain and dirt would form on the dome(s) causing blind spots. I'm also worried because this camera would have no protection from the elements since it would be mounted to the side of my house and about 5-6 feet...

@looney2ns I’m considering buying one of these cams to mount on the side of my house with one lens pointing to the right to capture people walking towards my front porch and the other lens pointing left to capture a blind spot towards the back of my house. On-premise version

I also am curious to see what the roadmap status of introducing different detection types such as cars, dogs, etc is.
