Recently completed a remote farm shearing shed deployment.
Remote Farm install 3 Camera's with power only to site. There is no internet, so I used an spare netgear nighthawk mobile data modem. Mobile coverage in the area is weak at the best times, but everything seems to operate pretty well...
As usual mine is half setup from 2019. I'm deploying via Docker on a Synology NAS... Couldn't work out what was left to setup so I have removed and will try and setup again. I have upgraded my account on OpenALPR, so just need to configure the NAS.
LPR thats included with BI had issues, It kept on detecting the date and time stamps as the licence plates....I just cbf dealing with it, so I disabled it.
I have f/w version V2.800.0000000.15.R.P9.4512.UN.NR Build Date: 2019-08-02
If Andy wants me to upload a working link for latest f/w to drop box, i'll post a link, just need the f/w.. :)
Yeah crazy year! My cams have been largely left alone all year. Some of them still not set up to a standard i'm happy with, but thats on me camera are fine.....just no time to mess with them all. You get any new toys during the year?
~Update~
Solved!
Posting update so that other may find an answer to this particular issue with remote connections.
I persisted and found that a simple BI update caused the issue.
Both remote and local machine running exact same version of BI seemed to fixed the issue.
It's always the simple...
I have a PC running BI locally. Have been trying to connect to another PC running BI ( at a different location).
I have updated the remote PC's IP address, however, when i try to connect it gives a status message "unable to close console session".
The BI app works to view both local and remote...
Thanks Parley for the link to catalog.
After a bit of a break, this is the 1st thing I was searching for. (Yay- Dahua Pron)
I forgot about the upgrades to the forums, so I am a little lost.
Couple of images of the IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' Camera.
Unboxed earlier in the week, quick setup and returned to box until I get time to install.
Out of the box first impressions of the images @ night were impressive. This camera has very good low light color ability.
Below: Balanced camera...
My DH-SD8A840WA-HNF arrived earlier in week.Another impossibly fast delivery from Andy.
So bummed out that I'm super busy, had to put back in box, after 5 min test.... :(
New PTZ has to be set up.
Take a look at the cliff notes. You could try the SADP Tool.

I think you will find the main difference between these two models is the Illumination.
IPC-HFW5442T-AS-LED Full-color / LED Illumination
IPC-HFW5442T-ASE - ePoE model with IR Illumination
