    Conceal/NVR ????

I was thinking of placing an NVR in the area where my heater sucks in air from inside my house. Plenty of room in there. My attic gets too hot for electronics to survive.

My setup (SD492225T-HN) and request for software recommendations

What speeds have you been getting with the Powerline ? No sputtering when watching the main stream? I still have a few 500K Powerline adapters however the speeds at the present house are low. Presumably due to the lovely aluminum wiring that's in my house waiting to catch fire.

26 cameras and one 4TB overwriting every 5 days

Bitrate is a slider from 1-10. I think our new office is the first one to have this many cameras and four more will be added in about a month for a total of 30. I’ll see if my access card still lets me in to where the NVR is secured.

26 cameras and one 4TB overwriting every 5 days

On Monday I'll see if the Exacqvision software will let me figure out the brand and model of the NVR. The cameras were Axxis 1.3 mb. H.265 was not an option under recording - just H.264.

My office is supposed to retain 60 days of video. The 1280/720 ip non IR cameras are mostly set for 15 FPS with two set at 30 FPS. Motion detection on. I had to point out to the security guy that his settings were causing the data to be overwritten every 5 days. Constant bit rate is the...

    NVR4208-8P-4KS2 vs NVR5208-8P-4KS2 for 6 IPC-HFW4231EM-AS

I can't make sense of the listings on Empiretecandy's Aliexpress site. Two 4208s with what appears to be the same description but different prices: $310 or $270. Then there's the 5208 description which states 160 mb incoming which is slower than the 4208 and I know I've seen the 320 mb figure...

Do i really need an NVR?

I was thinking you weren't going to get a response since the thread is 3 years old but I see that bp is still an active moderator. I can't afford to buy an NVR, cables, tools, quality cameras all at once so this idea has crossed my mind. I believe the forum is pretty anti-port forwarding due...

Great video! When I searched for that camera the only hit that came back was one seller on Aliexpress (not Empire) ? Where did you buy it and $325...is that right?
