    Was thinking about starting out with this switch. I'll eventually install more cameras, but right now I only have 4, and one of them is a PTZ with it's own power brick. Does anyone have a preferred recommendation over this particular switch? It's on Amazon for $65.00

    Found solid copper cable at Fry's today for $99.00 for 100M. Micro Connectors, Inc. 100-Meter Augmented Cat 6A UTP 10GbE Bulk Cable - Blue (TR4-536T) Fry's is not the best place to find things, but if someone's used it I'd to know what you thought of it. Figured this might be good for the attic.

    I am told that due to PCI compliance, we cannot setup the FTP server service. The cameras are a temporary stopgap until we get our network a little more locked down. I would consider using cameras with SD cards if the SD card could store 90 days worth of clips and pictures.

    Update: can format and initialize the shared folder, but it then returns to an uninitialized state. It seems to be able to read and write, but cannot maintain its connection to the share? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
