Also, you can upgrade through IVMS-4200 as long as your cameras are connected and getting a live view. First make sure you have a fairly new version of IVMS. Next select your device under device management then click on Remote Management. Once you're there go here: 2018-07-31_0818- RyanODan

Hikvision cameras with Firefox browser no plug in
You need to install the correct plugin from Hikvision. They have a few different ones, one works with IP cameras and the other works for NVRs. Just tested an IP cam and NVR with success. -

@G Rose Download Firefox ESR (v52 I believe). It definitely works on Windows and should work on Mac. -

@HikGr In almost all cases the firmwares resolves problems. I would highly suggest upgrading it if you're currently having issues. -

We've sold lots of them which are working flawlessly. However, since there are so many different variables in play there's a good chance you'll be doing more than just "installing a doorbell" if you do decide to go with it. -

See attached file. In most cases you'll use the ONVIF protocol but if it's a Hikvision NVR you can probably use the Hik protocol. If that doesn't work try ONVIF. Did you put in the password you created when first setting up the doorbell when adding the IP address to the NVR? -
