I hope everyone watches this. Fiscally responsible policy has fully evaded BOTH parties. I would have to say the GOP is particularly hypocritical on this as they preach about it but simultaneously love to spend spend spend as much as the liberals they accuse of exhibiting this behavior. They both suck, and my grandkids will suffer for it. Apparently it will take some seriously bad times to come, and with luck my grandkids will be the next great generation.
EDIT: If I had a critique of this video, I would say that other countries have better prospects of getting their fiscal shit in order because they take advantage of the US and rely on US to protect them.
btw the way, my state has had a balanced budget every year it has been a state, since 1889.

This actually is an interesting discussion piece that is a result of the USA hegemonic position post WWII and an attempt to build a global trade system with the USA as a center of global trade ( aka why we see the USA is a trade empire ) for the free world .. as a part of this deal, the old colonial powers would allow free trade with their former colonies .. and this strategy helped contain the expansion of the Soviet Block ..
I believe the US benefitted from this ..
for me the larger question is how does an adversary of the USA like China benefit vs the USA benefitting from China's rise.
Watching the "land grab" by China of the South Seas and other areas ( Tibet ) and the Indian - China border conflicts .. gives me some significant concerns.
