You'd need to compare the distance to objects e.g. distance from the camera to side fence etc. Your camera may be higher off the ground and doesn't appear to have any close objects in view.
The focus can be adjusted to bring closer objects into focus, but it will affect the focus on distant...
Region locked firmware seems to be the main thing to watch out for with the NVR's. Mine was bought in Australia and I came unstuck updating it to overseas firmware. (Now it's locked to overseas firmware and Australian firmware doesn't work!)
There's a minimum focus distance - anything closer will be out of focus. It's given in the spec sheet and varies depending on which lens is fitted. You could adjust the camera to focus on the closer objects, but then distant objects will be out of focus.
Did you try installing an O/S firmware first using that method? In all honesty the Australia NVR firmware support sucks and is so far behind... that's the reward you get for buying genuine Aussie stock and supporting local businesses!
Mine is running the latest Euro firmware, but it...
Thanks, it's working.
It was a combination of things by the look of it. For some reason when the USB C ethernet adapter is plugged in it comes up with 2 ethernet adapters listed in the Network settings (yet the adapter only has one and the laptop none built in)- I was changing the properties...
I was wondering if someone would have any suggestions on what I could be doing wrong with connecting a Windows 10 laptop to a Hikvision 7608 NVR's LAN port. I've done it many times in the past, but nothing I've tried will get it to work now. I'm not sure if it's memory failure on my part or...
The one I have issues with was bought from an AliExpress seller (not a forum member) and I noticed the bottom seal on the box had been broken. So anything could have happened to it. I guess they know people are unlikely to pay the costs to return a camera to China.
I have had issues with other...
That's a common thing here, they all wear hoodies and covid masks (or balaclavas.) Vehicle plate identification is often useless here too as stolen vehicles are used or stolen number plates are often fitted.
It's an issue with that is worse with that camera. I was looking at the 4MP Colorvu and the minimum focus distance was worse (IIRC) for a given FOV. (Could be wrong there.) The low light capability was very high on my priority list, plus more pixels to improve the chances of getting more detail...
Ignore the useless responses posted on here by someone who has never seen the lighting conditions at my place.
That camera came badly focussed from new, with the LHS being worse. I adjusted it (as best I could) but the LHS is still out of focus compared to the rest of the picture. You'd need...
