    NVR is coming in today since I didn't car for BI too much. I am trying to finish up last minute re-wiring. Which of the following is correct? Cams --》PoE switch --》port on NVR port --》WAN on NVR to router OR Cmad --》PoE switch --》router --》WAN port on NVR

    How can i tell a haswell... is it i5-4400 or something like that?

    Right now, i am running 3, 4MP and 2 3MP cameras...will prob add 4 or 5 more 3 MP outdoor cameras at some point in the future. I can pick up an i5-2400 optiplex for $125... should i hold out for an i7 or you think the i5 would be able to handle it?

    Yeah, they are all in different rooms...i put 2 cubes in closets to eliminate environment, and they still trigger. I'll post up a clip tomorrow. In the clip area, you see the camera that triggers pop up, then the other 4 a few milliseconds later.

    No, i have juat added the cameras. I have not created any groups.

    So what am I missing, I'm pretty new to BI, so forgivd my ignorance... I only want the camera detecting motion to record, but any time motion ia detected on any of the 5 cameras, they all start recording.

    I have my cameras and switch from LTS, but can't get the camera and IP address assigned.... little help would be great

    Blue Iris with this setup or use a NVR

    Ok..what about the switch? Ill prob buy a couple cameras for inside and use that pc for now
