    8mp turbohd (not colorvu)

I tried setting one of these up, no matter which mode I tried they were all bad in some way. The TVI seems the best, however 2 problems 1) image freezes in full screen, no matter whatcsetting I try. 2) 15 frames per second really sucks. Motion blur us terrible. I'm going back to just the. 2mp...

Fyi on iDS-7208HTHI-M2/S Dvr and 5mp input from the colorvu DS-2CE12HFT-F Camera to 4k tv

There is a slow shuttervoption, I have that to off, I don't know of another option for that. I'll have to check the gain, but I think it's either on auto, or low on the scale, I'll check that. But we're pretty pleased with it so far. It's way better than the grainy stuff we had before. That...

Fyi on iDS-7208HTHI-M2/S Dvr and 5mp input from the colorvu DS-2CE12HFT-F Camera to 4k tv

I had questions on how this would display, no one could give me an answer, not here, not B&H tech support, not hik-vision tech support. So I just bought them, recieved yesterday. First I am really impressed by the colorvu at pitch black ( I must have enough light out there, but it sure looks...

5mp camera input to 4k tv

    The iDS-7208HTHI-M2/S Dvr will accept a 5mp input from the colorvu DS-2CE12HFT-F Camera. However the camera outputs 2560 x 1944. But the dvr states it's hdmi output is: HDMI output 1-ch, 4K (3840 × 2160)/30Hz, 2K (2560 × 1440)/60Hz, 1920 × 1080/60Hz, 1280 × 1024/60Hz, 1280 × 720/60Hz . So how...

    Sensor size revisited

Not in my blown fiberglass attic. Current cable is fastened so no pulling it through. I'm retired so what else do I have to do ? Got to get the best bang for my buck. I'm also seeing most places I might becable to buy a dahua, it says not available in my USA region.

    Sensor size revisited

Thanks, but trying to find these, I can't see anything that matches. The ones I did find are shown below, but thier size is 1/2.7 And it looks like they need a conversion , they don't have direct bnc connectors. See if you can find one and give me a link. I sure don't see them.

    Sensor size revisited

There has been multiple discussions on sensor size, and the bottom line seems to be bigger is better. So a big sensor with big mp is best (if you don't have verifocal / zoom lenses) . I have ried to do research into this and if I stick with analog cameras, I find nothing bigger than 1/2.7 ...

    Dahua , hikvision .. etc

May be a dumb question and probably asked before but, if these cameras have been banned, how are they still for sale ? I'd hate to buy a system and then a year from now not be able to use it. B&H , Amazon sell them...

    Ebay

Plus, analog cameras, I don't see any firmware updates available, I don't. think they have updates for them. Ip cameras, yes updates, analog / turbohd cameras..I don't find any. So I would guess for that aspect they would be ok.

    Ebay

I did order 1 colorvu to try from B & H. But everything I think I might want is special order 4-6 week wait. And I don't think you can return anything that's special order. But, from what's being said. I'll probably just stick with them. And Dahua, they don't seem to have a big variety of...

    Ebay

Sorry if this has been asked before or in A cliff note somewhete.... , Is EBAY a good place to buy the hikvision equipment ? (In the usa) Or is that considered what I've read as " gray "? And should be avoided ?

    Hik-connect

If not. I guess I'll have to buy the dvr too. I wasn't fully committed to staying with the dvr. However the one I was looking at say it will do ip also. Must be a hybrid of some kind. It is a hikvision.
