    I agree. These are very different generations. Why I stated it up front. I am just asking what others are using these days. I will look to further dial it in. I am still very impressed with an off the shelf camera with no configuration.

    I have 6 hikvision DS dome cameras. I acquired most as used units. I want to add 6 more to the property but do not want to pay the steep 120 per unit. I would like recommendations on dome or bullets that work with the same iVMS-4500 software.

    Well I set up a SendGrid acct and it worked. So I am back in business. I will continue to try to get Gmail to work. And I tried the APP specific PW and it just fails to connect to test server. I wish there was a log on both sides to see the failure. It would give more clarity of the problem.
