Unstable FPS depending on what cameras active

Well, I have another 4 Dahuas of the same model, and 3 Hikvision. All are configured the same in terms of network, encoding, etc. All the Ubiquiti links are configured the same too... The throughput on all the links is way below the maximum capacity... I think something is going on with what the...

Unstable FPS depending on what cameras active

So, all cameras are running H264 to make things easier on the processor. No cameras have ROI enabled. The particular Dahua camera has Smart Plan enabled and one intrusion zone. I tried disabling to see if that had an effect, but it doesn't. I have also done a few more changes: On the cheap...

Unstable FPS depending on what cameras active

The link is surely not the issue, as I tried the opposite. Disabled the Dahua and left the two cheap ones on, and they both are stable at 15fps on both main and sub streams

Unstable FPS depending on what cameras active

I was just looking at the camera now, and with the cheap ones disabled it still seemed a little unstable... I wonder whether maybe it's a lot simpler and just a failing camera...

Unstable FPS depending on what cameras active

So I had a look at a clip recorded with that camera and it exhibits the same behavior. The fps (I have an overlay to show that) jumps around between 8ish and 20ish and the recording is, of course, choppy. I checked the rest of my cameras and recordings are stable at around 15fps and smooth. I...

Unstable FPS depending on what cameras active

@wittaj @bigredfish thanks! Both of you seem to think that the issue could be around network traffic… I thought so too, but as I mentioned traffic is around 14-16Mbps on a link which is capable of a lot more… I spent a while observing it on the ubiquiti device manager, and it wasn’t really...

Unstable FPS depending on what cameras active

Context: 3 IP cameras using one point-to-point Ubiquiti radio link. 1 camera is a Dahua IPC-HFW2431S-S-S2 (4MP) and the other 2 are cheapo Nivian cameras (5MP) which will be replaced soon with decent cameras. All cameras running at 15fps, keyframes 15, H264, the Dahua at CBR 6144, the other...

Dahua IMOU camera owners, please share your information here! Thank you.

I think I will reach out to IMOU and see if they can provide any info... I suspect it could be corrected in the firmware but I also know they would prefer their cameras to be used via cloud and their app... Here is what happens in my case, I have ONVIF device manager and SmartPSS side by side...

Dahua IMOU camera owners, please share your information here! Thank you.

You can find it here, after selecting your camera in the list of cameras on the left - you need to provide your login credentials to the camera(s): It's the option you see in red "Video Streaming": Once you click on that a window will show the stream and some parameters at the bottom: The...

Dahua IMOU camera owners, please share your information here! Thank you.

For me, I have even tried removing the camera from BI and after connecting back with SmartPSS the following day (despite no reboot) the frame rate and iframes have still reverted. But only for the main stream. The change occurs in the camera itself, BI only receives the stream it sends... I...

Dahua IMOU camera owners, please share your information here! Thank you.

I had already set it like that using SmartPSS, but I just checked again to make sure, and it is set to never Auto Restart. I have a suspicion the frame rate and iframes reset when the camera switches on the IR. I have my profile set to "regular". I will dig into the profiles a bit and see if...

Dahua IMOU camera owners, please share your information here! Thank you.

Sure @wepee So, for the IMOU Rex-3D (3MP), the network IP camera configuration in BI looks like this - it seems to work fine selecting Ranger 2C RTSP (except for the framerate / iframes caveat but that is not a BlueIris issue, it would seem more related to the firmware/configuration of the...

Dahua IMOU camera owners, please share your information here! Thank you.

I haven't seen this camera model mentioned previously, so I thought I'd share. IMOU Rex-3D (3MP) - works with BI (bidirectional sound, ptz and settings, with a few caveats) How I added the camera to BI: Connected camera to power and LAN Used Dahua config tool to locate, initialize the camera...

Do some Dahua cameras actually switch properly between night and day?

Yes, right now in Spain they can be bought for around 85€... as overview cameras I find they are ok

looking for options for enabling remote access for CGNAT fiber connection

Maybe a better idea. I only start ngrok when I am away and need to access (a bit of a convoluted way, but it works for me: I use Alexa on my phone to run a home automation event in Homeseer which starts ngrok), and usually stop if afterwards for security concerns... I have never tried running it...
