The link is surely not the issue, as I tried the opposite. Disabled the Dahua and left the two cheap ones on, and they both are stable at 15fps on both main and sub streams

I only start ngrok when I am away and need to access (a bit of a convoluted way, but it works for me: I use Alexa on my phone to run a home automation event in Homeseer which starts ngrok), and usually stop if afterwards for security concerns... I have never tried running it...

You could also use a solution like ngrok... I have it installed on one of the servers in my LAN and start it when I need to access remotely...

That's very good to hear! I read somewhere else that leaving a PTZ on touring presets like that may cause premature wear & tear, but your case seems to prove it may not always be the case. Probably will also be a function of how well the PTZ mechanisms are built.

Just in case it's of any use, I have some older cameras, that will only open the GUI on Internet Explorer. After a lot of digging around, I found that this registry key, set this way, will allow IE to work on Windows 10...

I was actually thinking of something so the water doesn't "stick" so to speak to the lens cover, not so much for the purpose of viewing during rain, but because of the dirt that's left over when it dries... recently we've had lots of storms carrying sand/dirt and the view from the camera goes...

Yes... my routine for outdoor cameras includes going round and wiping them after it rains sand/dirt... this is one of the things that was putting me off for roof top cameras...
