I tired smart plan and IVS and nothing. I have the cam on my desk pointed at me and I move and wave. Is it suppose to write a continuous stream to the SD card?

I have IPC-T5442T-ZE connected to a router. I navigated my browser to http://192.168.1.108/ and verified the camera is set for SD card recording. However when I try to play from the SD card there is no recording. What am I missing?

I am using ConfigTool for the FW upgrade but get an invalid password error. I have the password but where do I enter it? (I noticed my cam has .16.R FW so I will not be upgrading but still would like to know for the future). Thank you!

Thanks guys! The placement of the camera is bad and also the Lorex camera sucks with these parameters: S/N Ratio ≥42dB (AGC OFF) 0.5 lux without IR 0.3 lux with IR Image Sensor 1/2.5" I have Lorex NVR with PoE. Is there any specific requirement for NVRs to work with Dahua cameras? I wonder...

Thanks! Should it be high enough though so that no one could jump up and grab it? Maybe at the level of the top of the entrance door? Where would you put a 2nd camera? I tried different settings and this is the best image I could get.
