    Snapshot URL for SD49425XB-HNR

We have a SD49425XB-HNR that we would like to grab snapshots from. I've figured out that http://username:password@11.22.33.44/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi?1 works, but there's a problem with permissions. If I put a user and pass in with full unrestricted permissions, it works great. I don't want to give...

Under system -> auto maintain is a setting that will kick itself in the head weekly automagically

    Newest firmware for IPC-T2431T-AS

I had found that also before asking the question. Nothing listed on that page actually says what the newer firmware does that the older firmware doesn't - like release notes. As to what I'm trying to "fix" as you mentioned in a prior post... The firmware that the camera is currently running has...

    Question about SD49425XB-HNR longevity outdoors

To clarify a bit what I do with them... VUit: WECT The camera feeding the wall monitor behind Kim is a Panasonic AW-HE42. Next - and again at 10:37 - is the Wrightsville beach cam which is a Axis 6044E. You'll notice the spots which are from dissolving enclosure inside the dome. Next behind...

    Question about SD49425XB-HNR longevity outdoors

Amazon ad says Max.25/30fps@4M . So I guess we're good.

    Question about SD49425XB-HNR longevity outdoors

Not recording anything. They are used as weather cameras and are put on air on TV stations as part of local weather - and occasionally run out to two of the big 4 networks. 25 vs 30 vs actual on air frame rate of 29.97 isn't a big difference, but it is visible.

    Question about SD49425XB-HNR longevity outdoors

Another question. Will this camera - the SD49425XB-HNR - do 30 FPS at 1080, or is it limited to 25FPS. The model number doesn't have the "N" in it, and on the OEM site, that appears to mean it's PAL not NTSC.

    Question about SD49425XB-HNR longevity outdoors

Appreciate that. The SS camera will no doubt hold up much better than than the alloy on the Axis. Poking around a bit, those cameras you mentioned are $3k+. I was kinda thinking around the lines of if a cheap PTZ with a decent picture will last and work good for a couple of years. We would just...

    Question about SD49425XB-HNR longevity outdoors

The Axis camera in the attached pic has been out there for about 4 years. It's at a beach on the Ocean in Surf City, NC. As you can see, the threaded mount is about done. The rest of the enclosure is pretty corroded. Safety wire is fished back through the mount, but even if it falls and the...

    Question about SD49425XB-HNR longevity outdoors

I see that Andy sells that as a PTZ camera. Does anyone have one that's been outdoors for a while? I'm wondering if the hardware used is stainless or if it starts rusting immediately? Intended use will be as a beach cam on the coast. I've currently got some Axis Q-6044E cameras that have started...

    Newest firmware for IPC-T2431T-AS

Is there newer firmware for my 2431s? If so, what does it gain me if I update? Current in cameras: System Version V2.800.0000000.14.R, Build Date: 2020-02-29 WEB Version V3.2.1.857734 ONVIF Version 19.06(V2.6.1.845551) Algorithm Version 1.0.0

Alerts being deleted and not moved

I got confirmation from Blue Iris support that what I was observing WAS how the software worked. That is, if not saving alerts as files, then the Alerts will be deleted according to the value entered on the Alerts config page. By default that was 7 days, so the furthest back in time for alerts...

Alerts being deleted and not moved

Yup. That would be something less than an hour if it involved video. The only thing I have set to 4 GB is for the Alerts. I had changed that from it's default of 1 GB during troubleshooting the disappearing alerts problem. As there's actually nothing in the \BlueIris\Alerts folder, setting that...

Alerts being deleted and not moved

I don't see anything in the STORED config that seems like it would cause deletion of alerts. It's set for 30 days. I did notice that "NEW" config had 7 set, but files there would never make it to 7 days as it's only 150 gig, and that's a couple of days at most. I've since set that to 30 also...

Alerts being deleted and not moved

Noticed that alerts only went back 7 days. Ultimately determined the setting "Limit clip age" under Folders -> Alerts actually controls how long Alerts are retained. The page makes it appear that it should move them to the "Stored" folder even though there's nothing actually in the alerts...
