1 out of 3 new cams is working on web but not in my NVR

Ok, so first I should say that I stupidly upgraded my NVR firmware last night after posting this. So today, after resetting the cam to Factory Defaults, I opened the NVR to find that the interface is now VERY different. The bad news: CAM 1 was still not working after the NVR firmware upgrade...

I will try that. How do I do it?

Wow. Thanks for all the responses! Here are my responses: 1. That's scary. Good thing we're all heathens here. No need to worry about gods. ;-) 2. Yes, the NVR can assign IP addresses. It also supports static user-assigned IP addresses. I chose to assign them myself. 3. 192.168.254.21 ... .23...

1 out of 3 new cams is working on web but not in my NVR

Hey folks I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR. Today I installed 3 new Loryta ONVIF cameras. They are all the same model camera. I was able to log in to all 3 cameras from my browser and set the IP address and password. I can also see CAM3 and CAM4 in the NVR. But CAM1 will not display in...

Same form factor as SD1A203T-GN but with better camera?

Hi @EMPIRETECANDY , I really like the size and profile of the SD1A203T-GN, but I really want a higher resolution camera with minimum 4MP, PTZ, POE, ONVIF, and Starlight. I don't see anything like that in your Amazon store. Can you recommend anything like this? Thanks, Legolad

Wait. So 1/2.7 is read as 1 divided by 2.7?

Please forgive my ignorance, but how do I calculate the lens I need? I see "1/2.7” CMOS image sensor" on the Loryta IPC-E3541F-AS-M (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087R7GQ23?ref=myi_title_dp&th=1). I read that as 1 sensor with a size of 2.7" which I think is VERY large. Perhaps I am reading that...

IPCam tester I can rely on?

Excellent! Thank you very much, @kklee

IPCam tester I can rely on?

Yes. It would. If the cable were the only possible problem. I do have a cable tester. But in my case the cables check out fine. So it's either the cams, the POE switch, or the NVR. I just want to have a tool that will help me troubleshoot these things end-to-end. I hate not having the proper...

IPCam tester I can rely on?

Hi @EMPIRETECANDY, I would very much like to purchase an IPCam tester like this IPC9800 Plus unit. Is that something you sell or could sell? If not, could you share a link to one that you think is trustworthy? There are so many fakes and knockoffs out there, I would rather buy from a reliable...

What's the latest on these IP Cam Testers? Any advice or suggestions on what to buy?

For what it's worth, I've decided to go with an IPC-9800 Plus. There are a bunch of brands selling this and I'm pretty sure the only difference is the level of support you might receive if you have a problem and the amount you will pay if you have to return it for a refund. Checking on that now...

What's the latest on these IP Cam Testers? Any advice or suggestions on what to buy?

I'm about to replace several old cheap cams that seem to have died. I have CAT6 POE running from a hub out to the camera mounts. I'm not sure if the failure(s) happened in the POE switch, the cameras, or something else. I'm replacing the cams regardless because I'm ready to invest in something...

Why is it so hard to find affordable in-wall outdoor POE cams?

That’s exactly where I was leaning, though I admit I was holding out for a better solution.

Why is it so hard to find affordable in-wall outdoor POE cams?

My use case exactly. 2 are at the doors for entry and approach video. The third is in the carport for the same need. In my neighborhood we mostly get kid crimes of opportunity. Being able to show police their faces makes all the difference in stopping them.
