I read a teardown on one and there is is a 4 pin serial port on the main board, however the teardown didnt go into much detail on it past reading the boot sequence.

Their battery powered argus cameras are pretty good for specific situations, i use them to watch wildlife. If you are looking for any other situation then you can do better though.
