Yep, The door bell most talk about here has IR and video motion. For that to work you need ONVIF. But again, if your just recording 24/7 you do not need this. The IR only goes off on heat, clouds and crap do not set off the IR but would set off the video motion. But... -

If you ONLY wish to record on the cam picking up motion, some cams use onvif "a large number of cams today" to signal that motion was detected. This would tell a DVR to start recording. Again, if your just recording 24/7 you would not need this. ONVIF is just how a lot of cams signal... -

It may but I do not see ONVIF support so unless I missed it would not be my 1st choice. It can still record but would not detect onvif cam triggers. Check for firmware update, it WAS not working with Win10 64bit when it first came out. I would hold off and see if some one has one to... -

Do not use the app just BIris. It works fine, it just goes offline in BI if I block it from the internet now. It just started doing this in the past week. Block it, goes offline, unblock comes back in about 30sec. Even turned off all the npt servers as crap in the cam options. They... -

True but that is not detecting a trigger event in the ONVIF stream like the "remote trigger event" it can pass to NVRs and BlueIris for the PIR. -

No more then any other VDB phone app. Like all apps its up too you how much access you feel conferrable giving it. On the plus side the video feed (or saved video files) is nothing more then some one driving by your house would see. -

If this is working for you I think your the first person to detect a button press from the DB out side the phone app. The onvif will pass a remote trigger for the PIR motion but it does NOT pass anything when you press the button or at least no one has posted that they have found it. I think... -

Its easy to tell if its the RCA branded VDB or not, Its the only one (that I know of) with the slotted video cam mount instead of the normal round mount at the top. -

Are the diff firmware options just turned off by setting them to 0 is like the RCA firmware and turned on by setting to 1 in say the EzViz firmware you think? Or is the code left out / added? Just wandering if you think we have a chance of some one who know how to edit the file can make... -
