This is correct, the 204 mount is supposed to be for the IP8M-T2599EW. I personally tested this a while back due to a previous case and even told the listing team of our site to correct this but it looks like they never did... @Left Coast Geek Please mention about this on your current Amcrest...

Strange, any chance you can take it inside again then test it out using the shorter cable you mentioned?

Sorry for the confusion everyone, we were producing some more IP8M-T2599E models due to low stock on them too. At the moment I am not sure how long it will take to make some more IP8M-T2499EW models. Sorry again for the wait guys :(

We will check this out as well on the overheating issue as well. If this is caused by bad implementation of the IR functions within the firmware we will adjust it on our end.

Have you also made sure the cabling and the PoE port looks good on those ends as well? If switching them out still does not work you can contact our main Amcrest support line to get the replacement process started.

@Burner Were you able to find the order number from the previous camera you received? I believe on our last message with each other you mentioned you will try to find it after receiving the other camera. If you manage to find it can you message me directly so I can investigate this on my end?

@Burner Can you send me a message on any information such as order number or who you spoke with on tech support? If users accidentally receives a used product instead of a new we send them another one. We do not require the user to pay for another full priced camera.

This version has P2P compatibility with Amcrest cameras so we recommend to only use Amcrest devices for Surveillance Pro. Although Dahua cameras may work, it will only have local access connectivity and also limited setting configurations.
