Dahua IPC-T5442TM-AS smart/auto IR not working

I agree, the smart IR should compensate. Definitely needed for larger sensor in the 5442 which is more sensitive to light exposure. I wondering, comparing with other smaller sensor cameras, if the smart IR works? I assume a firmware fix could get this back on track.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Great info Pete. OpenHab looks very interesting. Though HA may be a bit more mature. Yes, I was thinking about MQTT and I beleive OH uses it too, buy cannot determine if its needed in OH. Need to research further. May hit you up later once I get started with either program on this forum or OH.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Hi Pete_C, Little of topic, but how do you like Homeseer? I thought it was the swiss army knife of automation, but you have Home Assistant too? I know Homeseer can get expensive..., but I am looking to automate too, for basic functions like turn lights on/off when some approaches areas...

Hello, I am new to the surveillance camera world and I have been researching cameras for my home. I decided on Dahua. However with all these features and protocols it gets confusing, but I do know I want great low light capability or Starlight. One feature I don't know if its worth my money...
