PROBLEM SOLVED !!!! thanks to @nayr If anybody stumbles across the same issue with logging into your vpn behind a verizon fios router and cant log in from your cell phone.... First log into the fios router, Click the firewall tab, click port forwarding tab, click the "select IP from menu"...

Called Verizon... My instructions were more detailed, but in short what i got was, that i need to add my routers IP address and the VPN's port to the fios modem. I know from you to never leave a port open... so my question is, does the Verizon instructions sound right?

I just finished a new Blue Iris install and everything seems to be playing nicely with each other. Set up is as follows... Fios Modem/wifi router brings internet feed into the house Netgear R7000 is plugged into Fios router Zyxel POE switch Plugged into R7000 Blue Iris Server Plugged into Zyxel...

ty do you record bi to main drive first (for me a 128gig ssd) or straight to purple? i see you can send files older than 7 days to another drive

I have 8 gigs of ram and read somewhere that you should double your ram for your pagefile. So i set it to 16gig for my main drive. Is this correct for Blue Iris? Should I also perform this for my purple drive?

yes that is the correct IP that i set up when i connected the camera directly to my pc. My router is .1 my cameras will be .50 and up my computer is .99 anything else to mess with?

I installed a bunch of lutron caseta dimmers on my wink network and fuckin hate that with wink you can only turn on and off.. no option to dim the lights. so next project will be a new controlling hub.

I am learning about ir illuminators and read that different cameras can see different wavelengths.. 720nm, 850nm 950nm. is there a wavelength that you found works best with the starlight? I saw in another thread you talk about the light coming from the same angle as the camera... should I not...
