    B&H Photo

I bought a system from B&H a few years back. 2 HIk cameras and a HIK NVR. The only real advantage to me, was that you could actually talk to Hikvision. I have not had to deal with warranty service on either NVR or my cameras. Hikvision support was helpful via email exchanges in a software issue...

HikVision DS-7608NI-E2/8P - some pics and first impressions

I replaced mine with a Noctua fan back in October 2015.It made the unit almost silent. Yes the fan is built into the PSU but it was not difficult at all. And I did this while having paid full price from B&H so I could have mfg support. They have been helpful when setting up the cameras, IVMS on...

HDMI to new 4k TV with HDMI ARC = NVR ISSUE

Did you do that to make it work as expected? Or was there some limitation to the inputs/outputs of your AVR that made you use a switch?

HDMI to new 4k TV with HDMI ARC = NVR ISSUE

Hope this is not an Off-Topic" post but it is an odd thing, rather long due to the explanation. I'd like to know if anyone else has had this happen. NVR stops functioning when connected via HDMI "CEC" to a Smart Sony TV and Denon Reciever. Gear: Hik NVR 8 port POE - 2 Hikvision cameras NEW...

    Hikvision Dealer

I purchased from B&H. My post garnered at least one comment here intimating that I was foolish for paying full price. But that's the price you pay for being able to email Hikvision and have a Hikvision tech help me out more than a few times the past year and a Factory warranty. With B&H I pay no...

I would think that also, It was not a big expense to buy 2 pairs. I guess if you have 10 cameras, well then it could get pricey... In my case I never considered using a 2 into 1 scenario...

HikVision and Powerline Adapter help please! (And Synology)

If your powerline adapters have more than one Ethernet port you could do that. Mine happen to have one port each.

HikVision and Powerline Adapter help please! (And Synology)

Yes that is generally correct. I have mine generally setup in this manner: Front of house: Camera powered with 12v adapter ---> Ethernet cable into Powerline adapter with 8' extension cord plugged into an electrical outlet ......AC wiring...... Inside Family Room Now next to the NVR in my...

    Hikvision integration into Belkin Wemo

NO but that is an interesting idea. Im sure it could be done. I wonder if you could trigger a ITFTT app? I might give this some thought..

HikVision and Powerline Adapter help please! (And Synology)

I've been using 2 pairs of TPlink Powerline adapters for about 1 1/2 years with no issues. The initial setup was a little kludgey if I recall. I had to run back and forth a few times between the router and the units in my garage. But since then they have worked without issue. I didn't see a...
