Getting access to cameras on TVs not hardwired to NVR?

So I have a single NVR connected to my main tv via hardwire, but I have 2 other tvs across the house that I would like to be able to access the camera feeds as well, but can't hard wire them. So what is the best way to go about this on a secured network? I am currently running ASUS ZenWifi AX...

My tv is showing the resolution of this NVR in 4k for anyone else who was wondering. I am using 4k cables as well, so make sure you are too. Do I need to plug in the yellow & white audio cables to get sound, or is sound also recorded through the Cat6? Do these turrets have the ability to...

    VPN Primer for Noobs

I set it up using Wireguard My new router VPN seems to be working well. So should I still follow everything in the first post to finish setting my network up to get ready for this new camera system? I also plan on following this walk-thru to secure my camera system & network...

So this is the NVR I bought, and was wondering if the HDMI port on the back is 4k capable? I would hope so as I bought 4k cameras and hope to stream 4k quality to my monitor/tv.

There is no way to use that 2nd HDD as a backup? If it's expansion only, I guess I'll just go with 8TB drives then and save some money

Great thanks for that info! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXX3PYXJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details This is the NVR I went with, and it seems to have 2 HDD slots. Is this second slot in this NVR for a mirror backup or an expansion? I always like to do a backup of all of my data, so I...

Ok thanks for those suggestions. I guess just pick whichever brand is on sale at the time between those 2? What makes an HDD "surveillance" rated?

What HDDs does everyone like to use in their NVR?

I've read that standard poe cameras use about 100mbps in data so cat5e is plenty for it. But what is the data transfer rate on a 4k camera?

Well that is a fair point. If I'm not going to utilize cat6, there's no reason to make it harder then I guess and I can go with cat5e I used to do low voltage years ago, so I'm familiar with working with the wiring & termination. But I got out before cat6 was becoming popular, so I've never...

Is shielded Cat6 cable preferred? I guess the cost probably isn't that much more and I might as well get it shielded

So I received my 4k-T camera yesterday and trying to figure out what cable to use I see this camera has a lot of different tails to connect to, what is the best one? Cat6 or 7? What do I do with the other tails, just tape them up? What is the exposed wire tail for?
