DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

I didn't realise the wired version also had an internal battery! :) ... I must say it doesn't get very hot here in London but I can see how that could be problematic with direct sunlight.

DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

This is a common problem with all Lithium Ion batteries, so it's not a Dahua thing. I have the non-battery (hard wired) version, I'd recommend that one! :)

DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

The DB61 is so underrated, it's far better than anything else on market. Local storage, local API, image resolution is far superior, etc.

DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

It was pushed from Imou. I did ask Imou support for a copy of the binary but they refused. You could try loading the previous binary as per my earlier post and with any luck you may receive this update. Note these files are European firmware so it may differ for North America versions, typically...

Yes I've seen this for RTMP streaming also, AAC is the most compatible.

DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

I can't imagine why it shouldn't work if you can successfully stream over RTSP and ONVIF. My DB61 is connected to HA using Dahua API and ONVIF without issue. ONVIF provides some additional features. e.g. reboot. I did see a situation in the past where the RTSP failed when complex passwords with...

DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

Yes, it works nicely as you describe. doorbell_alarm_local goes to unsafe when the call button is pressed It doesn't work for me neither but the general doorbell_motion_alarm works perfectly I'm not entirely sure but it could a compatibility issue with the encoding, try using basic H264 by...

DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

Yes, I am using the custom integration from rroller You are probably using the wrong password. It is the "safety code" which is printed on the device label. If you can't find it, scan the QR barcode and decode it from the string.

DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

Dahua Imou have just pushed a new firmware version: version=1.000.0000002.1.R,build:2023-08-19 I can confirm that the local HTTP API using CGI is maintained :)

DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

I was already using this version so I didn't need to change, it's probably related to WiFi disconnecting during the firmware upgrade/downgrade process. Try using the SD card method as described here

Copy of the firmware binary that supports local API. Use Config Tool to install.

DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

I note that Dahua have released new DB61 firmware with build date (09-03-2022) filename revision of (V1.000.0000000.7.R.220615). The minor revision seems to be different from the initial post which includes feature change (.020000000). Is anyone running this version? Of course I'm interested to...

    A New Doorbell

I am using the recently developed Imou Life integration for my DB11 doorbell. Though it's cloud based, the event notifications work reliably. This integration would also work with your DB6I.
