[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I got avx working on my i7 8700 but I had to enable some options in the bios like Hyperthreading and Trusted execution.Virtualization was already enabled . I don't know which option got it to work. But I still get the little boxes when starting deepquest. However I ran it overnight and it is...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Tack it to the end of both the pull and the run command. The celeron cpu probably does not have avx

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

@pbc Whenever I got the little boxes above v1/backup I had a problem with deepstack. Proabably did not load properly Strangely the only way I get deepstack to work is if I use the :noavx parameter even though I have an i7 8700 cpu which has avx2 I stop deepstack with docker stop containerid then...

    New Mini PTZ

Thanks @bigredfish did not know these were out already. The news release was from a few days ago so they have a new one out DH-SD1A404XB-GNR which has a few features added on but probably the same sensor and zoom

    New Mini PTZ

I would be interested in the bullet mini PTZ if it has at least 10X zoom and a reasonable price but who knows when it will be available https://www.dahuasecurity.com/newsEvents/pressRelease/2807

    Danua's White paper on Starlight

Attached is Dahua's White paper on Starlight I have a question or 2 on the paper. Is Smart codec considered to be H265+ ? Will Blue Iris 5.0 handle 265+ I have tried to set the 2831T-ZS smart codec to on and Blue Iris seems to handle the live view OK but not the recordings especially at night...

    Dahua HFW-1831E in-depth review

The specs for the 2831T-zs Lite 1.0 do NOT show the cam as being Starlight+ but the Lite 2.0 SHOWS it as being Starlight + so the question remains DID Dahua add the algorithms to make it a Starlight+ in Lite series 2.0 OR is it a Starlight+ in Lite 1.0 The lens is the same.

    Dahua HFW-1831E in-depth review

But that is my point the sensor is the same. There is only one 8MP 1/1.8" sensor made by Sony which is the IMX334. No other manufacturer makes a 1/1.8 sensor as far as I know and it does not look like Dahua has made a sensor change between Lite 1.0 and Lite 2.0 series

    Dahua HFW-1831E in-depth review

It looks like the NEW Dahua 2019 Catalog explains things a bit more. The Lite 2.0 Series specs show the 2831T as 3.7-11mm varifocal only, while the 2531T, 2431T and 2231T have the 2.7-13.5mm lens The 1831 seems to be no more What I would like Andy to ask Dahua is 1. Is the 2831T version 1...

Thanks. Excellent review as usual. If the sensor is the Sony IMX334 it is Starvis.

    (8MP) IPC-HFW1831E Review

@Truthinadv Don't forget the HFW2831T-ZS which is the motorized varifocal version with the same sensor but a 1.9 lens It also has an sd card slot. More expensive but worth it. There is a small difference at night compared to the 5321R-Z but just add a motion light and it switches to colour
