The original comment was relating to not being able to see 'live view' in a web browser, so changing to UDP in the camera settings was to fix that problem.

Its the easy and IMHO the best method :) Sensors require illumination of the subject, the more the better.... what kind of illumination is up to you, but in stock form the humble and cheap top-201 is not all singing and dancing.

Its called 'dual' because its switchable between clear and IR blocking (2 options) Inside the device is a electromagnet which changes the position of the IR filter so that its either in front of the sensor or not.

Just to expand.. The standard top-201 as ruppmeister says above is IR blocking, which is good if 1. you don't need IR capability and 2. the lens focal length is perfect for the chosen situation. IF you need a different lens then and point 1 is still valid then it will...

Hi stepz The 'top201' type of camera board does not come with the IR switching/ blocking components, and needs to use an IR blocking lens to keep the colours right.... (doesn't come with it cos the case/box is to small) So if you can find a pinhole lens that is IR blocking then all will be well.

Sometimes, lol .... With some lens its possible... and others its not. The major problem is that the basic camera whilst being fantastic value for money, is not able to be all things to all men cos to keep the price down the IR has to suffer, there are ways around the problem but as it stands...

Hi JDWX The pinhole lens it self is nothing special as far as sticking a pinhole lens into a 'TOP-21' type of camera goes, apart from ensuring that the case has a short threaded projection, and using something like blunted tweezers for adjusting the focus... the trick would be to use an IR cut...
