It is most likely my Dahua NVR not able to keep up with HIKVision IP Cams ONVIF feed. I dropped the resolution on the HIKVision and the delay disappeared.
I am not planning to replace my legacy Dahua NVR. Instead the plan is to move to Frigate NVR in near future. I will however retain a mix of Dahua and Hikvision cameras.
For now, I am trying to make use of this Dahua NVR.
Hi, I have an existing Dahua NVR with 8 channels. I originally had 6 Dahua cameras connected to the NVR. 2 of the cameras have stopped functioning, so I got Hikvision IP cams to replace them. I enabled ONVIF on Hikvision and updated the firmware to latest available as of right now (V5.7.18 build...
I opened the NVR and it had a Seagate Skyhawk 4TB disk in there. Surprised to see it going down in less than 3 years.
Anyhow, I have ordered a WD Purple now.
Hi,
My Dahua NVR has started throwing bad sector errors on internal disk. I have a spare WD Red 4TB disk sitting, which has been in light NAS use, but has no SMART errors.
Can there be any issues with putting this disk in the NVR ?
Cheers
Noted. I already have port forwarding setup to view cameras remotely by providing account username/password.
I was hoping I could do reverse proxy to the NVR as well.
Thanks.
Gday mate, I am in a similar boat, stuck trying to reverse proxy my Dahua NVR. I have Nginx + Cloudflare forward setup.
Following your steps above, what port do you setup on mobile app ?
What about Force SSL, HTTP/2 Support in Nginx?
Thanks.
