    Hikvision

No worries mate you can still do full video if that's what you wanted. I'm using DS-2CD26F-IS and sd card does overwrite when full.

    export small clips from recordings?

There is definitely a function to export specific timeframes from ivms4200, I've just used it myself recently. I believe it is either in the remote playback screen, or manage devices>storage server>remote configuration. If you have any trouble I will confirm and get back to you.

    Hikvision

1080P, 30FPS and 10240kbps = >100GB a day. I use onboard storage for logs and motion snapshots and the DVR for continuous recording.

Stuttering / pauzes in video stream with all Hikvision cams

I had the issue chronically when using PCNVR. Changed to client and the issue persisted. Changed the stream to UDP and other minor changes and stream came right. I've since tried PCNVR again with default cams and software and had the issue again. I'm not certain but it seems like the config is...

Android Apps + Hikvision On-Camera Motion Detection?

Perhaps try connecting to the device from a windows web browser, there is an analytical function which will show you where motion is detected, or set an email alert to trigger when motion is detected.

    camera setup help needed

I don't know about BI specifically, are you trying to connect to the BI computer from outside your network, or each camera individually? Have you configured port forwarding on the router based on the answer of the first question? I would change from port 80 regardless because it may be in use by...

    iVMS4200 UDP

Hey guys, Perhaps I'm blind but I can't see anywhere to change the live stream protocol to UDP in iVMS4200 PCNVR. I can find it in iVMS4200 client. I don't think it's under the local settings on the cameras themselves, adjusting that only seems to change when viewing through the browser. Cheers

Android Apps + Hikvision On-Camera Motion Detection?

Hey nomad, did you check via any other means that motion was detected from the camera and should have triggered the alarm?

    HIK 2632 varifocal

Yup it doesn't matter. I have this cam and you can change it in the config. As bp said it changes the frame rates you can use. It's probably so the supplier will pre-configure it. I live in NZ and they set it to PAL, but I change to NTSC since all my monitors are running at 60Hz

PoE/PoE+ switches w/Fiber or Fiber Media Convertors

x5. Phasing media converters out due to them being the single most troublesome component on our network. (Besides users!)

    iVMS 4200 issue

It deteriorated enough in that time to be an issue. Live view through a web browser was seamless. May try a re-installation, or an earlier version of this software.

    iVMS 4200 issue

Thanks fenderman for the welcome and quick response. I have just reset the image (this time by changing live view to the second camera and back again) I will check in a couple of hours once it deteriorates again and update the thread.

    iVMS 4200 issue

Hi guys, I have just built a new system which includes an i5-4440, 8GB RAM, Samsung EVO 840 boot drive and separate recording drive. Running Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64. Its only purpose in life is to run iVMS4200 PCNVR v1.03.06.02. There are 2 cameras connected: 1x 2CD2632F-IS @ 1080P, 25...
