Oh, yeah...we started at 110, then 300, 1200, 2400 and then when we finally hit 56K later we felt we had arrived...Nirvana, man!

AND.......we 'd never need more than 640K RAM either! :lmao:

If you were really "into it" back then you recognized and knew much of the Hayes AT command set also, like "ATDT,205,4891600" and the like. Plus you recall terms like "DCE" and "DTE", worked with null modem cables, DB25's and DE-9 (mistakenly called "Db-9") D-sub connectors. I recall RX (pin 3) and TX (pin 2) on the DB-25 was reversed in the DE-9: RX (pin 2) and TX (pin 3)....caused a few headaches, I'm sure. :lol:

Seems like a long, long time ago.....over 40 years, I guess.
