Does anyone know if there’s a way to have the camera name I set display instead of “Channel 6”? I’ve searched all over the app and NVR but maybe I’m missing this somewhere.

While its turned off, I do have a Dahua account. I found there was no upside to using it so I logged out and have never logged back in.

But as the data and push message is coming from the NVR (or camera) I dont see how having a Dahua account would change this particular issue

Are the channels named something in the NVR? Are the cameras directly connected to the NVR or using an external switch?

While I don’t have an answer, I can say that my 5 series NVR shows the channel number but my 6 series shows the camera name. I discovered this awhile back trying to figure out why I was not getting IVS notifications on the 6 if P2P was disabled. Still haven’t figured that out..

So I get that it comes from my series 4 nvr as in the first moment says NVR.

But it never decodes the channels names, even though they are all set.

For example, the notifications do not show me whether a person or a vehicle crossed the line, only that the line was triggered.
From what I know on the subject you have to have “target filter” enabled on the camera in the AI rule in order for the camera to decifer animal, vehicle, human. At least that’s how it was explained to me.
