The Typical picture of a Perp on Nextdoor-type Apps with Consumer Grade Cameras like Ring, Nest, Arlo, Canary, Wyze, etc.

Can anyone ID or even recognize this door checker? Between the IR bounce, camera too high and the wrong focal length, this camera field of view will struggle.

Trying to understand the image. The middle is B&W, yet there's color present in the image. What gives? Hybrid of some sort?

Apparently.

This picture fits the thread, but the post itself is also fascinating.

This person was having trouble loading some websites, and looked out the window to see somebody jumping into their car. Luckily their technical expertise allowed them to determine that this individual was disrupting the Wi-Fi in their apartment.

Can anyone recognize the man? Only found out where he lives by sharing the video. Had to pay half of the damage. Reolink 822a

This is a situation where someone could recognize him by his walk, body dimension, etc.

If your car is always parked there, you need at least two more cameras down on that garage on that side to see full view of the car.

Why did he only have to pay half the damage?

We didn't know if he would get away with it because the video is too bad. The judge offered that he would pay €500 and that would be the end of it. He accepted the offer and the case had been going on for more than 2 years. He damaged about 10 cars. I can only place the one camera up there to the car. Unfortunately, it is not possible further down. Besides, I'm not actually allowed to film public spaces in Germany, but as much as has already happened to me, I'm not interested.

I thought we talked about why you need two cameras crossing lower, 8ft or so covering your driveway?

I guess that is better than nothing, but the day and night images, while not great, should have been enough, but I am sure that typical Reolink blur ghost at night would have been hard to push further in the courts.

The funny thing is when he found out he was being filmed he lost a lot of weight and claimed he didn't smoke and he was at home all the time because he was sick. It makes a difference if you also burn this recording onto a CD, doesn't it? The police have burned the video onto a CD.

Wow that is insane. Not that they took prints, but I bet he left some on the mirror when he flipped it over.

Everyone's favorite take a video with your cellphone of the monitor cause you don't know how to export out of an NVR....but even if they did, this wouldn't help ID these 2 that stole this vehicle:
