PTZ w/stored focus points and HTTP scripting?

Anyone know the equivalent HikVision model? The datasheet for the DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3 appears to be very, very similar to the datasheet for the LTS PTZIP204WX4IR, but I can't be sure.

Searching amazon for DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3(C0)(USA-STD)(S6)(C) results in mostly international/English models with allegedly upgradeable firmware, despite my explicitly putting USA in the search string, for $140 - $160.

That said, I wouldn't mind paying an extra $20 - $30 for true U.S. firmware, just for peace of mind against brickness.

Also, just to confirm, I'm assuming HikVision and LTS cameras speak ONVIF, and would work with BI, right?
So I ordered an Hik DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3, for $154.98+$14.72=$169.70 and I'll see if does what I want. It's already in Hodgkins, IL, so I should get it this week.

Good thing, too, as my Reolink PTZ looks like it's slowly dying. The live feed stalls more and more often each week, and it no longer takes certain settings.

+1 for Dahua changing their firmware to store focus with PTZ preset!!

I think this single/minor feature would make it much easier to use big PTZs for long-range LPR, thus could potentially open-up new revenue opportunities for whichever manufacturers implement it..

Dahua/Andy- are you listening? :)

This seems so obvious to me, and I'm confident it would not be that difficult to implement.

Well oddly enough my 2 Amcrest IP2M-850EB and 853 and 858 cameras all support focus Presets as well. Still not something that would work well for LPR at night. I mean sure I have used the 850 and others to capture plates in the day time with spotter camera sending camera to presets.. However at night maybe could work but think time to preset could make it miss.. Plus full PTZ that is just static at one area with settings make it so dark can't see anything but plates might as well stick with a Static Zoom camera.. Cost less and small footprint.
