Getting the hang of it

Just got a IPC-Color4K-T180 and I am struggling to get the mic working with it on BlueIris. I understand you can't do it in UI3 at this time which is fine, but on the app the microphone button is grayed out. My user on blue iris does have audio/talk checked, and the mic on the camera is working. The audio tab is configured as below so I am not sure what else is needed to get this working.

Thanks

That tab isn't the issue.

Audio doesn't follow ONVIF protocol, so you have to find the one it works with.

Go to the Video tab and then Configure and change to the following:

mainstream: /cam/realmonitor?channel={CAMNO}&subtype=0&authbasic={AUTH64}&proto=Onvif
substream: /cam/realmonitor?channel={CAMNO}&subtype=1&authbasic={AUTH64}&proto=Onvif

I've got the same camera and able to get two-way audio working from the desktop application by switching the make/model as @wittaj showed (thank you thank you!), but I can't get it to work from the android app. I've heard some people say they've had instance where two-way audio work from the iphone app, but not android, so maybe it's a bug with the android app. I'm wondering if anyone has that camera (IPC-Color4K-T180) working with two-way audio from the android app?

Mine works from the Android App.

You have probably looked, but make sure the app has permissions to the mic and speaker.

I recall awhile back either the phone or the app or both updated and screwed up permissions. I ended up deleting the app and reinstalling giving it a new set of permissions and it has worked sense, and I just tested it now to confirm it works.

Oh wow, good thinking. It didn't have permissions, so I gave it that and it then allowed me to use the mic button, but it would only go green for 1 second, then back to grey.... this happens if i press and hold it, or just tap it... it goes green for one second, then back to grey and no audio is send to the camera's speaker.

So then I uninstalled and re-installed the app, but it still did the same thing.

Do you press and hold the mic? Does it stay green for you as long as you are pressing?

@wittaj , I'm curious if you are using https when hitting your blue iris server from android? The person here suggests that two-way audio doesn't work for him when using https on the android app:

That's an old post so maybe it isn't relevant. I've email blue iris support about it to see what they think.

Mine is the single tap and stays green until I tap it again.

I am using http

Thanks again @wittaj , I have confirmed that the issue only exists when using https. I've let BI support know and am hopeful they'll get it sorted.
