Hdmi to dvi

I know this is the wrong section initially but it's hikvision specific.

Does anyone use a hdmi to dvi cable/adapter with their nvr

As I'm having trouble getting one to work with a 78 series nvr

I know both ports work fine so I can rule that out but I can't for the life of me get a signal when using a hdmi to dvi cable

Oh and I am using the right standard dvi cable it's dvi-d

Same problem here too. I have a hikvision 8ch and an LTS 8ch, both won't work with hdmi to dvi cable. Tried rebooting, different resolutions, nothings worked so far. I have two cables, both work on my computer to monitor.

That's not the issue as the monitor is hdcp compliant and is brand new in December as a Christmas present.

It must be something with the hik nvr

thats an issue from hik nvr.
After testing 5 different adapter, cable, monitor I gave up and bought a new HDMI Monitor

Just as I feared although I don't think I'll be getting a new monitor as it was only purchased last month

Mind you saying that I have mine in hdmi and noticed there was no difference when using hdmi or vga

Obviously monitor to monitor may be different but I couldn't tell on mine
