Smart PSS Playback Lagging

So I just got my Dahua NVR set up and the NVR itself works great. If I remote into the NVR webpage, then that works great too. Good looking, smooth video. No problems. However, when I play video through Smart PSS, it seems very choppy/laggy. Every second or two, the video freezes for just a fraction of a second, but it's definitely noticeable. Especially with audio. And it does this no matter how many cameras I'm watching. Even just a single 4mp camera will do this. I tried using Smart PSS via P2P and I tried just using my NVR ip address and I get the same result both times. However, when I export video, the exported file plays just fine. The problem is definitely within Smart PSS because it plays perfectly everywhere else. Like I said, logging into my NVR webpage from my PC works great.

I don't think my computer is the problem. Here are my PC specs:
CPU - i7 8700
RAM - 16GB 3200mhz
GPU - RTX 2070

Any ideas what would cause this?
 
I also tried closing other applications running on my PC just to be safe because my ram usage was around 50%. Still made no difference.
 
I've found for myself that the 32-bit smartPss works better with the V3 NVR firmware, and the 64-bit smartPss works better with the V4 NVR firmware. YMMV
