In general this cam has great picture quality.
2 Questions:
1. Specs indicate 3 focal lengths: 2.8 mm; 3.6 mm; 6 mm. Is there a way to choose which focal length or is this automatic?
2. This cam is supposed to have Starlight tech. I don't see anything regarding Starlight in the settings and the night picture looks like any old IR. Am i missing something?

It has 0.005 lux it is starlight.i have this model but 5mp. Look the night image

The image i get is good, but looks like black & white IR - no colour

Do you have even a bit of light there? If it is fully darkness so then ir will work. You can set from the camera condition the day night to force color

Focal length you choose, when you buy the camera. It will be only one of those, not all three. If you have purchased a 3.6mm, then that is it. There is no adjustment.

Ok, thank you for letting me know that that should be a purchase option :)
Seller gave no indication of it being an option.
I see now on the camera label i have the 2.8mm 'option'.
Fortunately it seems to be ideal for the application.

It is a wide view what you get with that. Less detailed for face recognition. 6mm is a very narrow view.

The application requires approx. <1m focus distance which works with 2.8mm

Force colour works although picture is grainy on left (further away from light source right)
Will have to add some soft lights to enhance image quality.
