Let's say, I'm going to put a NVR/DVR/PC in a box that's protected from water but not from cold. Why do I not care whether it's going be a NVR, DVR or a PC? Because I am looking for a budget cold-resistant solution and everything else will follow from that. Obviously, it's not a problem to find any kind of an outdoors camera, cabling etc. once I've settled on the recorder model.
So, the question is - has anyone seen a device that "just works" under cold conditions but doesn't cost extra for being "ruggedized". Again - it will be protected from water.
Answers to potential questions:
* Can't I put it in a box along with a space heater?
Yes, but that's not the point of the question - seems unnecessarily complicated for now.
* What do I mean by "cold"?
Let's say, 0 Fahrenheit.
