For some reason one camera - made by amcrest in 2017 (i forget model # and it's not in the web ui) is experiancing significant lag in BI.

The delay is over a minute at times. I loaded up its proprietray applet and tried PTZ and response was fine. Still hadn't shown movement in BI, however....

It is remedied by restarting BI, but it just happens again after 24-48 hours.

Version 4.844

know what is going on?

HI Matt,

I recall reading similar issues in another thread recently. ...

here it is, maybe useful????
30-40 sec delay Reolink Wired Cams

Make sure CPU and memory usage % are both within acceptable ranges (say, under 80-90% load).

Make sure your hardware acceleration option is not Intel+VPP (Intel+VideoPostProc). "Intel" acceleration is fine. VPP/VideoPostProc is often not fine.

Try toggling the "Use RTSP/stream timecode" checkbox in the Network IP camera configuration panel in Blue Iris.

The "Limit decoding unless required" feature can also cause live viewing delay, although this should be obvious so normally I wouldn't even mention it.

It's a reasonably fast system... albiet i got it about 2 years ago... cpu is 60-70% I like overlays, there are 5 feeds. I didn't know VPP caused problems, a little rusty with this stuff as stressed out at work. I will see if disabling VPP has an effect.

Have to wait and see, because resetting BI makes symptoms go away anyhow.
