Thanks!Nice angle, height and view. These are cool little cams and perfect for the front door.
Nice!
I need opinions on viewing angles....Nice angle, height and view. These are cool little cams and perfect for the front door.
I like the higher angle, which is similar to my plan for the same location. I'll aim it to just miss the neighbor's window facing the front of my house. But the sidewalk and cars parked across the street will still be in view.I need opinions on viewing angles....
I have the original lower pointing view, then thought I should get some activity across the street in case they skip my place...
SO I am providing Lower, and slightly elevated line of sight, one with light off and one with it on.
I am thinking to block the camera side of the fixture with aluminum foil down to the cross bar on the lamp glass.
Any thoughts appreciated. Will also place one more cam on other side of garage shooting over the blue car past the silver SUV.

I am trying to cover door checkers on the Silver SUV. Here is how the test mount is placed.Any chance you can clear that carriage lamp? It seems to be blocking 20% of the viewable area.
Ok been a minute since drafting class, but looks like the difference is in the mounting holes.

Hi Jim,I think I may put up a mounting bracket like
Aliexpress.com : Buy Waterproof Wall Mount Bracket PFB203W from Reliable bracket wall mount suppliers on Empire Technology Co., Ltd
or
Aliexpress.com : Buy Waterproof Wall Mount Bracket Without Logo PFB204W from Reliable bracket wall mount suppliers on Empire Technology Co., Ltd
or
Aliexpress.com : Buy Water proof Junction Box PFA130 E from Reliable box suppliers on Empire Technology Co., Ltd
But I am not sure of the difference between first two. They would extend install out from wall an inch or two. As would the third one. I somewhat prefer the first two form factors.
By looking at the cam he is testing.@mat200 how did you get from the thread title referring to: HDBW4321FP-AS to the fact he would need the same mount as the IPC-HDW52xxR-Z models? My Google-fu had failed me.

You can go to the dahua site and use their accessory finder to pick correct mounts.
Hi CRW030, Looney2ns has pointed you to the exact document you want to look at.@mat200 how did you get from the thread title referring to: HDBW4321FP-AS to the fact he would need the same mount as the IPC-HDW52xxR-Z models? My Google-fu had failed me.
I'm a rebel, I'd put it just to the right of the light looking from the street. I think you'll be sorry with the IR reflection from the light, and the view blocking.I am trying to cover door checkers on the Silver SUV. Here is how the test mount is placed.
I can move it up some, or to the left.
But if I put it between lamp and garage door frame, I lose the angle on the car door.

You are a rebel! I want to move the light 18 inches left, and put the camera where the light is.I'm a rebel, I'd put it just to the right of the light looking from the street.
Or "vandals" (eh?) destroy the carriage light BEFORE that new cam goes up.."See, honey? This is EXACTLY why we need these new cameras".You are a rebel! I want to move the light 18 inches left, and put the camera where the light is. ...Major resistance coming from inside the house. ...
Easier than overcoming the WAF on moving the new light.
Hi Jim,You are a rebel! I want to move the light 18 inches left, and put the camera where the light is.
Major resistance coming from inside the house.
I ordered two PFB203W from @EMPIRETECANDY which should arrive sometime soon.
Only need a 1/4 inch hole to mount with those, so if I decide to move them, filling the hole is easy enough.
