iDMSS + IVS + Snapshot

Anyone using iDMSS with IVS alert and image snapshot? Are you getting the snapshot on every IVS trigger?

A friend of mine wanted to use snapshot so I helped him set up iDMSS and selected snapshot but so far on every IVS alert, he get a either a "Failed to download" or a "No record" message in the upper left corner of the snapshot playback viewer.

I have checked all of his NVR settings and I do see that IVS is set and scheduled to take snapshots when there is an event.

So I decided it test it on my iDMSS (I use video which work great). The snapshot works but it a hit and miss one mine. I get like only 1 working out of 10 alerts. The rest I get the same message as he did which is failed to download or no record.

Any of you using snapshot on iDMSS and get it on every alert hit? I am wondering if there a issue or bug with the snapshot part on IVS?

Just did some testing for you. I was interested in testing the integrated PIR sensor in the babycam anyway. For local recording it was already working. Now o tried a little bit with the external IPC alarms in the NVR. They are working now with iDMSS. Video works at a glance, but snapshot didn’t load.
It makes no difference if I’ve selected to record channel or take snapshots in the alarm settings. Video was also available without explicitly selecting to record channel. Video is recorded 24/7 and for IVS. Snapshots are scheduled for general, IVS and Alarm.

So snapshot is not loading at all for you in iDMSS? If so can you check on your NVR or local playback to see if snapshot is being saved in the file? Mine are being saved.
