Hi, I am considering purchasing BI to use to monitor my home as I have several IP Cameras, mainly D-Link and Foscam, that I am assuming can be used with BI.

One question regarding the BI server software. It appears that it is only for Windows. I have recently set up a server running unRAID Linux with a bunch or applications that run in Dockers (like Unifi controller to control my LAN/WLAN, SageTV, AirVideoHD, Apache, etc). It seems to me like running BI in a Docker container on a Linux server would make sense, that is unless you need lots of GPU power in the server. Is BI available to run in a Docker container on Linux? If not is this being considered for the future. Or does the GPU issue make that something that doesn't make sense?

BlueIris needs to run on bear metal; Intel QuickSync Gfx are very important for best performance and you wont get any of that in a virtualized environment.

You could run Windows in a VM using KVM.

Not with Video Hardware Acceleration; which is pretty much mandatory for any reasonable scale
