FireFox 52.0 is out ... no more NPAPI !!!

Hello everybody,

Take care about FF 52.0, many cameras may not show their video stream or controls anymore (for example the camera will say OCX/ActiveX not installed and propose to download/install it again and again) so you should keep FF 51.0.1 somewhere (and turn off auto-update once installed) that is last version that still work but of course you should not use this version to surf Internet, only to connect your cameras and use Chrome or Edge to surf.

You can download 51.0.1 version from FileHippo for example Firefox 51.0.1

Sure but some people that used to access cameras with FF may want to continue that way, that's why I discovered FF removed NPAPI coz I got a call about it.

How to you get IE to work? Web Service does not appear to work with IE. What are the other options?

Make sure you load up IE and not Edge

Just realized that I am using Edge so I will check Windows Components and see if I can enable IE.

Go in Edge Menu and you'll see "Launch Internet Explorer"

Plugin has stopped working in Firefox.

I appreciate it. I have downloads of 64 bit Firefox 51 stashed to be able to reload / use it if I want to. Mostly use an older laptop for configuration anyway.
