Hi all,

The server and hard drives which BI is installed has become full and as per the rules, has started to move data to elsewhere.

For some reason, all of the alerts JPEG's have been removed from the local drive to overspill which is a NAS and when i go to playback clips from a camera, I am getting a huge amount of alerts showing.

Any ideas, please?

I am running the latest version BI and have around 39,000 jpegs.

Why are you even storing alert images? Uncheck store high res alert images...A low res images is stored in the database...
Please post a screenshot of your problem..What is the issue..It's unclear from your Post...

Thanks for this and I'll send a picture shortly.

Can you advise what you mean by alerts stored in the DB?

Are you saying that there shouldn't be any files in the alerts folder?

Exactly..You have selected to store high resolution alert images for no reason
... Uncheck it

It's set per camera..

Yes, the BI database stores a low res image...that is all you need since you have the video...

Is this low res imagine actually stored as an image within the DB or just as a link / snapshot to part of a clip?

So with a high res photo, this image is stored in an alerts folder - correct?

You then say the low res is stored in the DB but is this actually stored as an image or as a link to part of a clip?

Back to the original query and I can advise that having copied all the alerts back to the original directory on the server and rebuilt the data base, all is functioning and displaying properly.

Yes.
Its stored as an image...if you mess with the files outside of blue iris and dont rebuild the database it will cause problems like you have seen
